Beschrieb auf Englisch: The CAS Art & Peace is a collaboration between swisspeace, the Basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW, and Atelier Mondial. In times of uncertainty and violence, artistic activities can \u2013 as studies worldwide have shown \u2013 offer essential qualities for survival, such as refuge and continuity. Art can help people process trauma and build resilience. The potential of art in peacebuilding and peace promotion has recently garnered increased attention. Beyond the formalities of conventional diplomacy, art creates spaces in which dialogue can unfold, social tensions can be addressed, and diverse perspectives can be acknowledged. Global crises and needs are growing and becoming more complex, while financial resources stagnate or dwindle. As the pressure on international cooperation to reform rises, actors across all sectors are pushed to \u201cdo better with less\u201d. A decade after its conception, the Humanitarian\u2013Development\u2013Peace Nexus (HDPN or \u201ctriple nexus\u201d) is as relevant as ever amid these transformations. As an integrated approach to addressing the complex challenges of conflict-affected contexts, the HDPN emphasizes coordinated action and collective outcomes between humanitarian, development, and peace actors to ensure that interventions are not only complementary but also mutually reinforcing.
