In recent months, the ‘Alliance for Women, Peace and Security’ consisting of KOFF/swisspeace, Frieda – the feminist peace organization and PeaceWomen Across the Globe – have been working intensively on recommendations for the fifth Swiss National Action Plan (NAP) 1325 for the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda (WPS Agenda). To this end, they organized two civil society consultations in autumn 2023, to which they invited numerous civil society organizations, networks, activists and academics to ensure that their experiences and expertise are incorporated into the design of the new NAP. The resulting report is based on a feminist understanding of security and contains the consolidated recommendations and proposals from these consultations in September and November 2023.
