The podcast series “Perspectives on Switzerland’s seat in the UN Security Council“ of the “KOFF-Tonträger” engages with the novelty of Switzerland’s non-permanent seat in the UN Security Council (UNSC) in 2023/2024. Each episode displays the voices and opinions of Swiss civil society and state actors with their expertise, opinions, and expectations and raises awareness about relevant issues related to peace and security.
The first episode will provide an overview of Switzerland’s objectives, role, and priorities in the UNSC from the FDFA’s perspective and some insights from the first months at the UNSC. Additionally, it will include reflections from Swiss civil society regarding opportunities, expectations, and concerns related to this engagement. The following episodes will zoom into specific thematic areas like climate security and the Women, Peace and Security Agenda.
