Mindanao, the second largest island in the Philippines, suffers from poverty, natural disasters, and religious conflicts. Particularly in the Muslim Bangsamoro region, the Integrated Mindanaons Association for Natives (IMAN) strengthens communities and implements peace and development projects. IMAN is currently implementing six projects in 32 villages, benefiting 2,770 people. The main objective is to strengthen local authorities, involve women and youth in conflict resolution through dialogue, negotiation, and mediation.
IMAN needs an all-terrain vehicle to operate more efficiently and implement more training. The Swiss aid organization miva supports its financing to further IMAN’s valuable work and project successes. Donations for this miva project are welcome.
