swisspeace will be hosting the ninth edition of the Basel Peace Forum. Initiated as a swisspeace project in 2017, this event brings together leading experts and practitioners from around the world to discuss key issues related to peace and conflict transformation.
The theme of the 2025 edition will be “Imagining Peace.” Doves, politicians shaking hands, flags waved at a parade – when we think of visual representations of peace, we often see the same clichés. Considering the power of images in shaping our understanding of peace and conflict, isn’t it time we painted a more nuanced picture?

The diverse offerings aimed at fostering intercultural and transcultural competencies among young adults provide an exciting complement to working with young people.
