Events
The KOFF platform offers the following event formats:
Roundtables
The KOFF platform regularly organizes roundtables on topics or geographic regions that are of particular interest to its member organizations. As a strategic instrument in long-term peacebuilding processes, KOFF roundtables bring together representatives from governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as private sector and academia, to share experiences, bring together various perspectives and foster synergies and common approaches. In general, KOFF roundtables are organized jointly with at least one member organization of the platform.
Master Classes
KOFF Master Classes aim to enlarge the competencies of peacebuilding practitioners who already have an affinity for a respective topic or methodology (e.g. gender, psycho-social approach, arts & peacebuilding, etc.). They foster exchange and learning on how to do peacebuilding work at different levels, across sectors and geographical areas by linking the rich expertise of selected guest speakers (e.g. peacebuilding practitioner, activist, scholar, artist, policy maker, etc.) with the diverse knowledge and experiences of the participants. Attendees to a Master Class are asked to prepare by reflecting on achievements and challenges in their daily work, identifying questions they would like to bring, as well as by reading some preparatory literature. The organizers collect these reflections and questions in advance, in order to create a tailor-made workshop.
Peer Support Space
Each month, KOFF provides its members with a confidential and supportive space to explore challenging topics or concerning issues relevant to their work. Participation is voluntary, and sessions are held online, typically lasting one hour. During each meeting, a KOFF member presents a case, an open question or a practical challenge of the day-to-day work, inviting peers to offer insights, advice, or share related experiences.
This space fosters a regular, institutionalized, and safe environment for peer-to-peer exchange and mutual support among KOFF member organizations. This initiative aims to minimize potential harm and to continuously enhance the effectiveness, inclusivity, and transformative potential of our working methods and approaches.
