Feminist Perspectives on the Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative

The Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative (KVI) will be put to the vote on November 29, 2020. It demands one thing as a matter of course: that corporations headquartered in Switzerland take responsibility worldwide for the human rights violations and environmental damage they cause. This is a current political debate that also requires a feminist perspective.  At this event, PWAG and cfd will jointly examine the KVI from a women's rights perspective.

2020/10/20, 7pm - 8.30 pm, cfd, Falkenhöheweg 8, 3001 Bern

All people are equal in front of the law. And the others?

No one may be discriminated against. This is stated in the Federal Constitution, the cantonal constitutions and all human rights agreements. Nevertheless, the claim and reality of the protection against discrimination in Switzerland diverge. The conference offers space for practical exchange and joint learning between grassroots organizations, advisory structures and the scientific community.

We interview Alejandra Miller Restrepo about the impact of the epidemic on the population, on women and on the work of Colombia’s Truth Commission. She is a member of our International Board and of the Colombian Truth Commission.
