swisspeace is offering a Facilitation Skills Training in June 2024. It gives you the chance to expand your facilitation skills and to make exchanges more engaging, inclusive, and efficient. The roles and challenges of a facilitator and the practice of creative methodologies and tools that can be applied in various situations will be discussed.

A main focus will lie on practical examples of facilitation in conflict-affected contexts. Participants will learn how to adapt facilitation techniques to challenging circumstances.

Our member organization HEKS is screening the film "Die Anhörung" with a film discussion next week. In the film, asylum seekers relive their hearing on their reasons for fleeing, shedding light on the core of the asylum procedure. The film gives insights into the delicate interview situation for the first time and also questions the asylum procedure itself.

The Helvetas Politsichten Blog gives monthly insights into current issues in development cooperation policies. Our member organization humanrights.ch is organizing a conference on strategic litigation in Switzerland in June 2024 for everyone working in the field of human rights protection. Strategic litigation refers to court proceedings that are used specifically to close gaps in human rights protection. In this way, structural human rights violations are addressed in court on the basis of a specific case.

The last episode of the KOFF podcast series on the Swiss seat in the UN Security Council is dedicated to the issue of the growing importance of the digital space for peace and security. Anne-Marie Buzatu (ICT4Peace), Sacha Meuter (Fondation Hirondelle), and Emma Baumhofer (swisspeace) discuss potential opportunities and challenges the digital sphere poses for the UN Security Council and suggests how Switzerland might include aspects on digital peacebuilding in its priorities during the second year of its non- permanent membership.

In their new podcast "Artikel Sieben", humanrights.ch spotlights human rights in Switzerland. Specific cases show the gaps within human rights protection.
